Potenza plays a news producer
on TV's "Escape From The Newsroom." The illustrious Ken Finkleman is the show's star, writer and director. Potenza says, "You've
gotta try and keep up with Ken but you can't be too present because that just pushes him away, you have to keep it, sort of,
the ebb and flow, you've gotta keep arms-length distance at all times, not too close, not too far, just sort of spit out something
when you think about it."
"I'm a bad giggler. If I get the
giggles, I'm out, I'm useless. I feel like a little kid in church," he says. "If I look like I'm concentrating and acting,
it's me trying to think of stuff so I don't laugh."
Potenza
is often recognized for his commercial work: "At first it was great, I was like, you get a little bit of an ego, you know,
it sort of fuels the fire," he says. "Then it's like, that's all they want to see and that's all they want to do and I'm like,
'I can't do that anymore,' I mean, people are gonna get sick of it and then I'm going to be a one-trick pony. That was just
like a character of Christian that I created for commercials cause I knew it worked." He's best know for appearing in "Molson
Ex" and "Halls" ads.
He recently landed a role in Jackie Chan's
feature film, "The Tuxedo."
